Mr Jimmy Lim Cheok Siang

Lim, Jimmy Cheok Siang was born in 1944 in Penang, Malaysia. Jimmylimdesign is a Malaysia-based founded by Jimmy Lime Cheok Siang in 1978, it was originated from Computer Science Laboratory Associates. Jimmy was graduated from the University of New S. Wales Australia.

Jimmy’s works are base of the philosophy of hearing his clients want and transforming into a design solution that are customized, contextualized and regional with total commitment towards climate, location, culture and history.Jimmy Lim has received numerous national awards including of Recipient National award of Malaysia Commonwealth Association Architect, 1985, Robert Matthew award, 1989, award and recognition Malaysian Timber Industry Board, 1988, The Norway award Outstanding Contribution to Quality, 1991, Alumni award University New S. Wales, Australia, 1993; nominee Carlsberg Architectural Prize, Copenhagen, 1992 and 2012 SIA-Getz Prize for Emergent Architecture in Asia.
